What is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) is a creative problem-solving methodology that uses LEGO® bricks to help people think more clearly and creatively. It is often used in business settings to help teams develop new products, services, and strategies.
What is design thinking?
Design thinking is a human-centered approach to problem-solving that emphasizes empathy, ideation, prototyping, and testing. It is used in business settings to help teams develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
What is strategy and strategic planning?
Strategy is the act of making an integrated set of choices, which positions the organization to win; while planning is the act of laying out projects with timelines, deliverables, budgets, and responsibilities. In our workshops, we use the Strategic Choice Cascade (source: Roger Martin) as a framework for making strategic choices.

What kind of experience and qualifications do you have?
In my work as a facilitator of the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method (trained in 2017), I have invested 200+ hours in training, worked with over 50 clients, and reached over 1500 participants. As a design thinking facilitator and instructional designer, I’ve taught online and led hundreds of workshops. I also have advanced certifications and training to provide flexible options for organizations. I am passionate about the work that I do to provide your team with a transformative experience! I worry that people will think this is a waste of time.
It’s understandable that you might have concerns about hosting a “playful” workshop. I’m happy to meet with your team to discuss the agenda and how the workshop will benefit your team and organization. Participants will have the opportunity to share individual perspectives as well as align on a shared outcome. Following the workshop, I will provide an insights report that can be shared with team members and other stakeholders.
What is the recommended length for workshops?
To ensure that you have a quality experience, I recommend a full day or longer for the workshop. Half day sessions are also available if you have limited time. With LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® , we have a scaffolded process to provide time for building, sharing and reflection. Let’s talk to discuss your goals and desired outcomes for the workshop. We can work together to create a plan that is the best fit for your needs.
Are supplies included?
LEGO® windows exploration bags (1 for each person) are included in the pricing. I will also have additional brick sets available for use during the workshop. I carefully select the bricks so that each table has a wide selection of bricks for building. Additional supplies including post-it notes and other workshop materials will also be provided.
What is your process for working with clients?
All potential clients are invited to join a discovery call to discuss needs. I will work with you to develop a Statement of Work that includes major plan activities, deliverables, schedule and cost estimates. All services include planning, agendas, activities, materials/resources, and follow-up. Additional deliverables might include follow-up coaching, documentation, and an insights report.
What are your rates?
Rates vary depending on the size of the group as well as the time frame. We can discuss pricing for ½ day, full day, multi-day, and follow-up sessions. If needed, additional facilitators will be available. I offer discounts for early booking and will work with you to provide services that fit within your budget. Note: A typical ½ day workshop requires over 15 hours of planning and implementation!
What are your cancellation policies?
Cancellation fees may be charged for cancellations with less than 30 days’ notice for any non refundable expenses (airfare, etc).
